Everybody loves fairy tales. Who doesn't? They start with "Once upon a time …" and end with "… and they lived happily ever after". But here's a fairy tale with a twist that you would still most definitely would love: WOWWEE's Once Upon a Zombie.

Features Of Once Upon A Zombie

Once Upon a Zombie are basically zombie doll versions of Disney princesses. Based on Billy Phillips' book trilogy of the same title, it features zombie versions of six of the most popular princesses in Disney lore: Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, The Litte Mermaid and Rapunzel.

All of the collectors' dolls in this collection are 11 inches tall. They have flowing hair, glass eyes, and articulated limbs that you can move any way you want. In keeping with the zombie theme, when you purchase your zombie doll, you'll get them in a plastic case shaped like a tombstone. It comes with a stand, a skull belt, and a hair brush.

Doll collectors will definitely have a ball getting all these zombie dolls once they're released this summer – August 2013, to be exact. Fans of the books will also appreciate having these Disney zombie princesses come to life – in a way – in these zombie dolls.

What We Like About Once Upon A Zombie

We're all used to seeing the Disney princesses looking their best and their prettiest. This twist – turning them into zombies – is both quirky and fun. We were particularly impressed at the workmanship that went into these zombie dolls, with great attention to detail on all aspects, from the dolls themselves to their outfits. There are only six characters released for now, but already we cannot wait to see the other Disney characters join their ranks.

What We Don't Like About Once Upon A Zombie

Zombies are, for lack of a better phrase, an acquired taste. Do not expect everyone, especially those little girly girls to instantly like these zombies. The outfits and accessories are very good added touches, but it would have been nicer if the zombies also came with footwear.

The price of each zombie is actually more than reasonable, considering the quality and the enjoyment it could provide, so this is definitely worth buying.
