Battroborg Review |
Toys have evolved so much, and they should, considering how modern technology has slowly changed the way children play nowadays. This is apparent in Battoborgs.
Features of the Battroborg
Essentially, Battroborgs are boxing robots, which are a step up from the older version, which can be controlled using levers and buttons. Saying that Battroborg is like Wii wouldn't be too far from the truth; operating this boxing robot is done through a nun chuck controller, which isn't very different from that used in Wii. The robot will copy the exact movement made by the player. There are several game modes found in Battroborgs. Training Mode will have one player train and practice how to control their robots so they could "fight" better. Tag Mode involves a number of Battroborgs in a game of tag, while in Knockout Mode, two players and their Battroborgs will duel it out until one of them is knocked out. Other game modes include Knockdown Mode and Ring Out Mode.
Children and adults alike will find themselves drawn to Battroborg, which is why there is no specific age group this game is meant for. It's an interactive game that can be enjoyed individually, or within a group.

Price & Guarantees
Once Battroborgs are released later during the year, the expected retail price is $80. This is inclusive of the battle arena, two robots, and controllers. If you want to buy additional robots, you'd have to buy $30 for each. No word yet on any guarantees or warranties. What We Liked about Battroborg
Involvement by players in the game is guaranteed in this game, since it won't go on without the player actually doing anything. More than just pushing buttons, players should be fully active.Playing groups of about 10 players won't have a problem about any lags or delays, thanks to its 2.4 GHz frequency.
The responsiveness of the robots is also very impressive. It takes five punches to knock down a robot and once it sustains a hit, the player will feel it directly via some vibrations.
