Features of Zoomer

The robotic dog named Zoomer resembles a Dalmatian pup that moves and acts just like a real puppy.

Zoomer has fully articulated limbs, allowing it to move in any direction and on any surface. Playful, it can wag its tail and roll around, just like a real puppy. To complete the pet-master experience, it has also been programmed to respond and acknowledge over 30 voice commands.

The eyes of Zoomer is made with tiny LED bulbs that lights up and turns into a heart shape when you say "I Love You". It's like having a pet without the regular vet checkups and the poop-cleaning.

Zoomer, which is due for release in August 2013, is made for children 5 years old and above. Parents who want to teach their children the responsibility of caring for pets could use Zoomer to train them.

What We Like About Zoomer

The LED eyes turning into hearts is definitely an adorable touch, but that's not the only good thing about this robotic dog. Try rubbing its belly and it will roll over, and when it plays dead, those LED eyes will show the letter X. Cute, isn't it?

This could be quite disruptive, seeing as you have to recharge every 30 minutes or so, then play, then charge it again. They should have made the battery life more lasting.

You wouldn't be blamed for thinking that the $100 price tag is very high. However, if you look at the features of Zoomer and the benefits youyou're your child will reap, you'll realize that it's worth your money. It is definitely cheaper than the cost of buying and raising an actual dog.
