Recommended for children 3 to 8 years of age, the Fisher-Price Imaginext Action Tech City will appeal to older children as well, and both boys and girls. The set comes complete with a Rescue City Center that recognizes the fire truck as it approaches, and responds with emergency related phrases and sounds.

Turning one of the included figures opens a vault door or drops a security gate, and a working elevator has been included. The interactive features allow your children to use their imagination in creating new rescue possibilities, and the fire truck actually shoots water projectiles to put out fires.

The working jail door and bank vault open and close, and the firehouse contains a pop-up siren. The hotel comes equipped with pop up flames that let your child stimulate a fire, and the city environment includes an interactive gas station, a police station, fire station with fire truck and accessories, a hotel, bank and a hospital.

Parents should note that the speech and sound functions are loud and distinct, and that this playset is compatible with other Imaginext sets such as the Batcave and Dragon Fortress. However, in comparison to other Imaginext sets, the Action Tech City seems to offer much more interactivity.
